What exactly gets removed?
Standard PDF annotation objects: highlights, underlines, strikethroughs, squiggles, text boxes, sticky notes, ink, shapes, stamps. Form fields and hyperlinks are preserved.
Can you remove text/images baked into the page?
No. If markup was flattened into the page content (not annotation objects) it cannot be separated automatically — the tool will report that no annotations were found.
Does the original content lose quality?
No. Only annotation objects are deleted; the page content is not re-rendered.
